Welcome to Shutter & Motion Photography LLC.

My name is Wendel K, and I am a Michigan-based photographer specializing in motorsports, automotive photography, car shows, and live events. I also enjoy doing portraits and nature photography. Photography combines two things I enjoy most: capturing authentic moments and showcasing the passion people have for what they love the most  

From local car meets and classic car shows to high-speed motorsports action, to nature inspired. I focus on creating images that tell a story. Whether it's a perfectly restored classic, a purpose-built race car, the excitement of an event crowd, or a beautiful wildflower my goal is to preserve the details, energy, and emotion that make each moment unique.

I believe great photography is more than just taking pictures—it's about capturing the atmosphere, the people, and the experiences that make an event memorable. My style emphasizes sharp detail, dynamic composition, and authentic moments that reflect the character of every vehicle and event.

While automotive photography is my passion. I also enjoy shooting individual and couple's portraits, pets, homes as well as landscapes and artistic expressive works.

Equipment

I use Nikon full frame camera body's and Nikon lenses. The print images that I produce for 8x10" and 12x18" are larger than the printable area and are typically cropped to fit. The most dynamic view of the photo is centered on the printable area. I shoot for large format. In the case of 24x36" for example. The image fits the entire printable area.
